A Revelation of the Kingdom of God
I have felt for sometime a desire or maybe an anointing growing inside of me to write and release a nonfiction book about Jesus. I have started a handful of them in the past, yet I would come to a stop as if I didn't have it quite right. The seeds were definitely there, the desire to be obedient was there, but the exact revelation of what God wanted me to release had not been birthed inside of me, and the life lessons I still needed to walk through had not taken place. He needed to see me be faithful in the little things before He would trust me with the much more (Matthew 25:23).
As anyone who follows me here or on my vlog, Hangin' with Heidi, knows, I have been releasing the chapters in recorded form for several months before actually completing the entire book, something I have never done before, yet felt the urging of Holy Spirit to do so. As I stated earlier, I am offering this book for free. It is very important for me to release it without cost. I have felt from the beginning of this journey, "Freely you have received, freely give." (Matthew 10:8).
Having said that, I do know God wants to bless me for being obedient to what He has asked of me. The House of Ruth
The House of Ruth was a long time coming for me. I started it years ago, having a heart and passion for the characters and the content. I did several edits (let's be honest, rewrites) of this book before publishing at the beginning of 2023. As I read through the final edit, I was very pleased with how it had turned out. I love this book as well as this series. Morning Glory and Forgiven started my writing career, and those characters will always be a part of my heart. Mary Alisa Breshnev is a character who represents God's great deliverance, redemption, and powerful recompense.
The character's heart and passion to rescue the "least of these" in a time when they went virtually unnoticed is not only inspiring, it is timely for right now. Plucked from a beautiful, safe upbringing, Mary Alisa finds herself nearly destroyed and broken. Although in despair, God's hand of full redemption reaches down and carefully begins to restore her, and she discovers that her greatest form of healing is to turn around and help those the world has forgotten. God's heart for her pours out to all around her. Through the unfailing love of God, Mary Alisa Breshnev find's herself as the very heartbeat of the House of Ruth.
