I can't say enough about Southern Hospitality. In today's world, many people and places have forgotten the importance of service, kindness, and compassion. The one thing about Charleston is how personal the service is. It reminded me of when I was a kid, and everyone seemed to go that extra mile. From Hotels to restaurants to shops to just meeting people on the street with a smile, Charleston will remind you why you love to travel!

Coming from the Pacific Northwest, we are so blessed with our majestic mountains and beautiful bodies of water, but the South has it's own rich beauty that surrounds it, from marsh lands to forests submerged in water, to trees that seem to hold history on their limbs as they are covered with resurrection fern, which appears dormant and dead when it's dry, but comes back to full vibrant life with a little rain fall. God's Creation is amazing!

I could write about the food in Charleston, from dessert and drink places to true Southern cooking venues to the buildings themselves. The place above is a converted old church, and it is worth seeing, and the food is quite lovely too.

It isn't just the different cuisine that makes Charleston a special foodie town. Food in Charleston is an experience, and so, when you go, taste from as many places as possible!
