Sam and I imagined if you hiked for a thousand days in the Ozark Mountains, you could never see the same valley, holler, rock formation, or cliff edge twice. It was spectacular wherever you looked. I could have taken more pictures than I did, and I still couldn't capture how truly pretty it was. So, put your sights on the Arkansas' Ozarks if you are looking for beautiful scenery to bless your heart, whether driving, hiking, or just rambling through the woods.
We explored The Glory Hole, Hawksbill Crag/Whitaker Point, Arkansas Grand Canyon, and Alum Cove Natural Bridge, and that was just a quick, tiny taste, but they are all worth the hike.
One thing we both love about the South is the hospitality! Every place that does not embrace true kindness through hospitality could take more than a page from the book of those who are from Arkansas. We were treated as friends, with smiles, great service, kind words and comments, and many, many y'alls. Even in the local grocery store in a small town, the deli lady was so incredibly kind and thoughtful while helping me, we practically hugged at the end. I would have flown her home with us to work locally in our home town if I could have. Just purely lovely people! The hospitality we encountered in Arkansas is worth the visit.
